Until Lura is sitting up on her own (shouldn't be too long!), you'll be seeing a lot of photos here of Lura sitting up in this "Boppy" pillow. Here she is at three months; she holds her head up just fine, but is still working on push-ups!
Sometimes she has company when she's getting "tummy time" practice; here Cricket is hanging out with her. We'll see if the cats are as neighborly when Lura is old enough to want to pet them; Lura looks like she would if she could reach.
Sometimes she emulates the cats. Who's more curled up more here: Melody on the bed, or Lura in the sling?
Then again, the cats have also taught some lessons in relaxation to Cheryl...
...and Mark too!
Another friend around the house is Pinky Bear; she sits above the diaper changing table, and helps Lura calm down if she gets fussy during a change. We take Pinky in the diaper bag on trips with us, to help Lura get comfortable in new locations.
On Thanksgiving, we were a bit too busy with Lura to prepare a turkey dinner; fortunately, Coco's had them to go! We made a little more preparation for Christmas, starting with a photo of Lura from "Picture People." They made some errors with our order that resulted in substantial delays to our Christmas cards; we won't be giving them any more business, but we did get a couple of nice Christmas dresses for the photos, and here's Lura wearing one of them.
And how could we skip a chance to visit Santa Claus? A week before Christmas, Cheryl took Lura to the South Bay Galleria for a visit and photos; Lura looks a little doubtful, but wait 'til next year!
Here's somebody on whose lap Lura doesn't have reservations about sitting! On a couple of pages on this website, we mentioned a lactation consultant from whom we've received advice and information; Susan Orr has been a lot of help, and a good friend.
