It's always great to have family come and visit; Lura has lots of fun playing with everybody. Here she giggles with her aunties on our foldaway bed downstairs.
The day after Christmas, we braved the crowds and drove to the Camarillo outlet mall. Here we are in the Adidas store, where Lura quickly figured out what to do with this large bin of basketballs and soccer balls.
Lura enjoyed looking at all the things for sale in the stores, but she also enjoyed running up and down the sidewalks later in the day, after the crowds dissipated somewhat. Here she leads Grandpa on a merry chase.
Lura can always find something interesting to look at while shopping, but it's hard to top this display of rubber duckies in the Bath & Body Works store in a mall back home!
Here is our traditional three generations photo on December 28th, just before Mom and Judy went home (Dad and Gail had headed out a couple of days earlier).
On December 31st, Lily, Ken, and Justin were in town. We joined them and their friends George, Susie, Lauren and Lindsey at King's Hawaiian Restaurant for brunch--always a favorite!
The bakery at the restaurant entrance is always very enticing; the donuts look and smell so tasty that Lura is literally licking the glass!
Lura and Justin always have a lot of fun together. They're even good at sharing toys (a big issue with toddlers!), but especially on "neutral ground" like King's, they have a grand time.
Here they share a goodbye kiss. Daddy probably won't be so "awww..." in the same circumstances, say, a dozen or so years hence...
That evening Dylan and his parents Mark and Danni came over for dinner. Dylan likes Lura's magnetic drawing boards too! With so many friends and family to share our life, 2005 has been a very full year; we look forward to seeing even more of all of you, along with the little addition hiding under Cheryl's right hand in the photo, in 2006!
